Invitation Only: Intro to TBRI® for Tucker Unit BGC

This training is offered at no cost to participants thanks to the generous support of the United Way of the Ocoee Region.

In this series, participants will receive a brief overview of Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), an evidence-based, trauma-informed caregiving method. Participants will learn how trauma impacts developing brains and how professionals can bring healing and wholeness to children with whom they work. The introductory module walks participants through the three principles of TBRI® — Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting — and equips them with actionable strategies that they can start to implement right away.

This six-hour module will be split into six hourlong sessions, which will take place on a bimonthly basis at the Tucker Unit’s regularly scheduled staff meeting.  Participants must attend all sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Sessions will be held every other Monday from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., starting January 23 and ending April 3.
